Chris Cordell
Location Manager
Chris was born and raised in Indiana where his first loss was that of his maternal grandfather, and to this day he says that is when his calling began.
While in Indiana Chris attended IUPUI in the Nursing program while working on a MedSurg unit before earning an Associate Degree from Ivy Tech in Surgical Technology in 1997. He began working for Surgical Services Incorporated after graduation in the Medical Services and Sales industries. Chris relocated to New Bern, North Carolina and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business management from Mount Olive College in 2000.
Chris married his college sweetheart, Sheri, in 1999, and they continue to be the foundation and home for each other today after two decades of marriage.
Chris changed career paths in 2008, leaving Surgical Services Incorporated to attend the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he earned an Associate Degree. Chris completed Celebrant training in 2009 while in mortuary school. His business background, especially working in acquisitions and business development has helped him be highly successful in leadership in the funeral industry.
In 2015 Chris assisted Premier Funeral Management in acquiring McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, North Carolina. He lived in Hendersonville, North Carolina for two years during the acquisition. He has held positions as Care Center Manager, Master Embalmer, Location Manager, and Managing Partner in the funeral industry for over 13 years.
Chris is licensed in Indiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina with dual licensure in all three states. He has worked in Kernersville, Greensboro, and most recently Thomasville, North Carolina.
He, his wife, and their pug, Bear Bear, reside in Kernersville, North Carolina today. Chris’s passions are traveling with his wife, loving, and caring for their fur baby, and continuing to help families through their time of loss.

Samantha Eastridge
Samantha “Sam” Eastridge was born and raised in Archdale, Nc but now currently resides in Thomasville, NC. She has a strong sense of community and compassion. New to the industry, she truly believes that what we do is important. It is bringing together people who care about each other in an atmosphere of love and support. When she isn’t working, she is spending time with her son, and their dogs Bobo and Precious.

Heather Besoiu
Outreach & Aftercare Coordinator, Crematory Manager, & Certified Funeral Celebrant
Heather Frazier Besoiu was born and raised in Claremont, NC, and graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1992. Heather continued her studies at Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) in Hickory where she received her Recreational Therapy/Activity Director Certificate. Heather has more than 20 years of experience in the HealthCare Industry and made the transition into the funeral industry in 2016. Within her time in the funeral industry, Heather has taken pride in serving our families and the community. She is active in the Fourth Creek Rotary Club of Statesville, serves as a Board Member for The Salvation Army in Statesville, and active in the Chamber of Commerce.
Heather is the Outreach & Aftercare Coordinator, Crematory Manager, and a Certified Funeral Celebrant for Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville and Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel.
Heather and her husband, Chris, who is Vice President & General Manager, have one son, Tate who is attending Jackson College in Michigan pursuing his Welding Certificate with a focus in Blueprint & Construction Analytics. They also have a Yorkie named Bella.

Chris J. Besoiu
Vice President and General Manager
Christ J. Besoiu has been in the Funeral Industry since 1997. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Business Management from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH. He then went to further his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science.
Chris has spent most of his career in the funeral industry in the Charlotte and Hickory areas before joining the Nicholson Funeral Home family in April of 2021. Chris enjoys being active in his community and is a member of the Fourth Creek Rotary Club of Statesville, serves as a Board Member for The Salvation Army of Statesville, and active in the Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, playing Softball in the Mooresville Recreational League, and traveling with his wife, Heather.
Chris is the Vice President & General Manager of Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville and Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel.
Chris and his wife, Heather, have one son, Tate who is attending Jackson College in Michigan pursuing his Welding Certificate with a focus in Blueprint & Construction Analytics. They also have a Yorkie named Bella.
