William McKinley Turner

William "Bill" McKinley Turner, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 19, 2026, at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Born on February 22, 1950, in Charlottesville, Virginia, he lived a life filled with warmth and kindness, reaching the age of 76.

Bill was born to the late Jerry M. and Lucy Ann Jordan Turner, who instilled in him a love for family and a passion for cooking. He pursued this passion throughout his life, working as a cook for many years. His culinary skills brought joy to all who had the pleasure of experiencing his dishes.

Though Bill did not seek accolades or recognition, his greatest achievement was the love and respect he earned from those around him. His gentle spirit and generous heart endeared him to many, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Lorraine Turner, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him dearly. Bill's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember his warmth and kindness.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services. The family kindly asks that those who wish to honor Bill's memory do so by sharing a meal with loved ones, as he would have cherished such moments of togetherness.
