William "Scotty" Dameron

William Dameron " Scotty", age 53, passed away on May 28, 2024, in Wilkesboro, North
Carolina. He was born on April 8, 1971, to his loving parents William and Ruth Dameron.
Scotty was preceded in death by his brothers, William " Eddie" Dameron, and Jerry
Dameron; a sister, Judy Bailey; niece, Stephanie Cagle; son, Dustin Dameron and
daughter, Kristina Dameron.
Scotty leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, in his five children: Michael Dameron
(Le Ann) of Thomasville, NC, Robert Dameron (Katie) of Wilkesboro, NC, William Shelley of
Bolivar, NY, Julie Vuncannon (Mike) of Greensboro, NC, and April Hughes of Conway, SC;
14 grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Dameron of Ocala, FL, Michael Widing of MI, Robbie
Widing of Maddison, WI; sisters, Angie Wiggins (Dean) of Naples, FL, Molly Jane Zayas
(Oscar) of Reidsville, NC, Debbie Ruiz (Ruben) of High Point, NC, Greta Follrod of
Statesville, NC and Jennnifer Walls (Clyde) of Pineville, WV; 18 nephews and 22 nieces.
Scotty had a huge heart and love to share. He was passionate in his profession as a CNA,
and for the schools. When he wasn't busy with family, Scotty enjoyed spending time with
friends, listening and dancing to music, and loving his animals. Scotty will be remembered
for his kindness, his sense of humor, generosity, and his love for those around him. He will
be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all that accepted him and loved him as
family.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Scotty at an undetermined time. Please contact
