Shane Donovan Bean

Shane Donovan Bean, born on March 2, 1974, in Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was 52 years old.

Shane was the beloved son of Lucretia Brown Olasin and the late Steven Perry Bean. He received his formal education in Lexington, where he spent his formative years. A man of faith, Shane accepted Christ as his Savior and was a devoted member of Holloway Church in Lexington.

On January 16, 2004, Shane married his wife, Keron Barefoot Bean, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shane was a dedicated father to their cherished daughter, Gabrielle Elizabeth Bean, with whom he treasured spending time.

For over 20 years, Shane worked diligently as an electrician, a profession that allowed him to provide for his family and contribute to his community. Outside of his work, he found joy in hunting, reading, wave jumping at the beach, and watching action movies. Above all, Shane valued the moments spent with his family and friends.

Shane is survived by his wife, Keron Bean; his beloved daughter, Gabrielle Elizabeth Bean; his mother, Lucy Olasin; and his brother, Jeremy Bean. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Perry Bean.

At this time, no formal services are planned. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

Shane Donovan Bean will be remembered for his warmth, his dedication to his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
