Sametta Jean Graham

Sametta Jean (Williams) Graham, born on June 25, 1961, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at the age of 65, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Born to the late Samuel Edgar and Etta Mae (Franklin) Williams, Sametta was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She spent her early years in Winston-Salem, where she received her formal education at Parkland High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior, a faith that guided her throughout her life.

Sametta was united in marriage to Collins Jr Graham on December 18, 1992, in Winston-Salem. Their union was blessed with a loving family and countless cherished memories. Her professional journey included dedicated service on the assembly line at Gallows Plastics and later at Janitech, where she met her husband, Collins.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as watching movies, singing, and spending quality time with her family. Sametta's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Flossie Mae Williams and Georgia Williams Teal, and her beloved grandson, Jae'Sean Markee Hooks.

Sametta leaves behind a devoted family to cherish her memory: her husband, Collins Graham; daughters Hannah Hooks and Leah Williams; stepson Johnathan Gwyn; siblings Samuel (Tida) Williams, Pamela Craft, Clara Williams, Rachel Williams, Albert Williams, and David Williams; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Sametta's compassionate spirit and love for children.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
