Royce Lee Shackleford

Royce Lee Shackleford, age 78, passed away on January 25, 2024, at Hospice of Davidson County, Hinkle Hospice House.  Born on December 1, 1946, he was the son of the late Frazier Norman and Violet Golda Normington Shackleford.

Roy served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam; he owned two businesses; sponsored his son Adam's passion for car racing; his daughter Kristin's love of horses and his oldest daughter who was by his side during his last days, Micheal-Ann and his Grandchildren Lacey and Cole were the loves of his life. He is survived by his partner, Shirley Carter, two brothers Gary and Robert, two sisters Jane and Judy as well as 23 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gale, Thomas & Jim the past three years. His resting place will be as he desired and loved to visit, Shackleford Island, NC.
