Rillie Mae Baker, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the age of 75, at the Hinkle Hospice House. Born on June 5, 1951, in Davidson County, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ray and Savannah Crouse Hulin.

Rillie Mae received her formal education at East Davidson High School. She dedicated many years of her professional life to Chambers Fabrics in High Point, NC, where she was known for her hard work and dedication.

In 1994, Rillie Mae married Luther Phillip Baker in Davidson County, NC, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. A woman of the Baptist faith, she found joy and fulfillment in her family and her interests, which included shopping for home interior items, cooking, fishing, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Rillie Mae is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia Hicks. She is survived by her devoted husband, Phil Baker; her sons, Jody Hughes (Kay Lewis), Myron Hughes (Holly), and Charles Hughes (Nichele); and her sisters, Lois Reddick, Raenell Carter, Linda Hughes, Carol Gordon, and Sherry Dawkins. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Cody Niver, Cody Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Levi Hughes, and Adison Hughes, as well as her three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other relatives who will cherish her memory.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Davidson County in Rillie’s memory. The family would like to thank them for their compassionate care.

Rillie Mae's warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
