Richard Franklin Waugh

Richard Franklin Waugh, 77, of Statesville, NC, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022.
Mr. Waugh was born to Mr. Richard Leroy Ford and Mrs. Mary Sigmond Waugh September 7, 1945. Richard was raised by his grandparents and often helped on their family farm. He was the lead shop foreman for Perdue Farms Inc. for over 25 years. Richard loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. His favorite past time was fishing, and he enjoyed going to the airport to relax and watch the planes takeoff and land.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Waugh; brother, Steve Waugh; and aunt, Jean Clanton.
Mr. Richard is survived by his daughter, Amanda Moy (Ron) of Irvine, CA; brother, Gary Waugh of Lenoir, NC; sisters, Joy Bacon (Bruce) of Lenoir, NC and Glenda Vick Failes (Frank) of Harkers Island, NC; grandchildren, nine year old Aaron Moy and three year old Alana Moy; and best friend, Steve “Turtle” Minnish of Statesville, NC.
A graveside service will be held at Faith Church Cemetery, Wednesday September 21, 2022, at 10 AM.
