Richard James Carpenter

Richard “Ric” James Carpenter, 50, of Cleveland, NC passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
He was born October 22, 1972, in Sturgis, Michigan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Kelly Carpenter, three daughters: Elizabeth (17) of Sturgis, MI; Ayla (13) and Keziah (5) of Cleveland, NC; and one son: Xavier (15) of Cleveland, NC. Also survived by his parents: Carol (Shipe) and Michael Carpenter, Sr., two brothers: Michael Carpenter, Jr. and his wife Cassandra (Snover) of Cadillac, MI; and Jason Carpenter of Sturgis, MI., one sister Caila (Wes) Halsey of LaGrange, IN., and his in-laws Jerry and Jane Hogan of Cleveland, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home, 135 E. Front Street, Statesville, NC at 4 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023. The family will receive friends and family following the service.
