Peggy Jean (Capps) Millikan, aged 91, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest High Point Medical Center. Born on July 21, 1935, she was the beloved daughter of the late John Marvin Capps, Sr. and Margaret Peggy Leslie Capps.
Peggy received her formal education from Greensboro Senior High, after which she embarked on a fulfilling career at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. She dedicated 25 years of service as a Secretary and Agent, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication.
Peggy had a passion for cooking, quilting, and reading, pursuits that brought her joy and comfort throughout her life. Her warmth and creativity were evident in the meals she lovingly prepared, the quilts she meticulously crafted, and the stories she cherished through books.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Kellam; her second husband, Frank Millikan; and her son, Kelly Mark Kellam.
Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her sons, James O. Kellam, Jr. and Todd Andrew Kellam, along with his wife Kristal. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Andrew, Kristopher, John, Olivia, Katie, Kelly Mark Kellam, Jr., Jennifer, and Crystal Beckner, as well as many other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
A graveside service will be held to honor Peggy's life at 3:30 PM on August 4, 2026, at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
