Paula Angeline Rushing

Paula Angeline Rushing, age 49, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Davis Regional Medical Center. Born on August 11, 1972, in Iredell County, she was the daughter Virgil Hawks and Barbara Mayberry Hawks.
Paula enjoyed vacationing with her family and going to the movies. She loved music, especially Contemporary Gospel, and was a huge Elvis fan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Virgil and Barbara Hawks; her daughter, Celina Rose Rushing; her son, Ben Rushing and his wife, Nicole; grandchildren, Oliver "Ollie" Lucas Rushing and Isabelle "Ellie" Patience Rushing; husband, Sammy Scott Rushing; and brother, Alan Hawks and his wife, Julia.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Living Word Ministries with Pastor James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 2:00 pm.
