Pamela Jean Black, born on November 16, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 69, at Magnolia Creek Assisted Living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Pamela was the beloved daughter of the late Hawley and Jean Richey Berfield. She received her formal education at Northeast High School in Philadelphia, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by service and devotion. Her faith was central to her life, and she accepted Christ as her Savior, attending True Gospel Holiness Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Pamela served her country proudly by joining the United States Air Force for a brief period of time.
Pamela had a creative spirit and found joy in coloring, writing, and crafts. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her beloved daughter Hollie Davis and granddaughter Macie Helwig, who survive her. She is also survived by her brother, Russell Berfield.
Preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Thomas Berfield and Dennis Berfield, Pamela leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society of North Carolina, reflecting Pamela's love for animals and her generous spirit.
Pamela Jean Black will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
