Nelson Arroyave

Nelson Arroyave, age 67, of Statesville, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Born on February 7, 1956, in Colombia, he was the son of Luis Anibal Arroyave and Luz Marina Lopez.
Nelson enjoyed walking and had a love for nature and the outdoors. He also liked f’utbol and fishing. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Nancy Agudelo; his daughter, Paula Arroyave; his sons, Alexander Arroyave and Diego Arroyave; grandchildren, Juliana Arroyave, Julieta Arroyave, Salome Arroyave, and Valeria Arroyave; sisters, Marleny Arroyave, Nidia Arroyave, and Rosalba Arroyave; and his brothers, Hernan Arroyave and Mariano Arroyave.
A Memorial Service to honor Nelson’s life will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home.
