Nellie Edna Dixon

Nellie Edna Dixon, born on July 10, 1934, in Randolph County, North Carolina, peacefully passed away at the age of 91 on July 22, 2025, at Alpine Health & Rehab in Asheboro, North Carolina.

Born to the late Rufus and Annie Hutson Graves, Nellie spent her life rooted in the values and traditions of her upbringing. She was united with Worthville Methodist Church, where she found spiritual solace and community throughout her years.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Ernest L. Darrity. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Chad Darrity (Tracy) and Ginger Rose (Robert), as well as her dear great-grandchildren, Noah Darrity, Jessica Reason, Xzandria Lamb, and Makayla Wilson. She also leaves behind ten treasured great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her memory.

At this time, no formal services are planned. Nellie's family and friends will remember her privately, celebrating the love and warmth she brought into their lives.
