Mary Helen Holley (Cabral), born on September 24, 1949, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Lexington, North Carolina, at the age of 75.
Mary was a devoted and caring individual who dedicated over five years of her life to her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life into her passions and hobbies. Mary cherished spending time with her family, always treasuring moments shared with them over her beloved Dunkin Donuts hazelnut iced coffee, especially when enjoyed on the darker side. Her interest in the weather was well-known, as she often spent time watching the Weather Channel, depending on her mood, and eagerly followed The Doppler.
An avid shopper, Mary found joy in picking out snacks, old-fashioned donuts, and K-cups for her Keurig. She loved cooking and found solace in gardening, a hobby that brought her closer to nature and provided her with peace.
Mary was educated at CCRI Rhode Island Community College and attended high school in Boston. She took great pride in her family and is survived by her loving children: Georgett Avila (Hernan), Jeanett Ngum, Elexe Cabral, and Albert Holley Jr. (Kaitlin). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Tatianna Avila, Amanda Avila, Hernan Avila Jr., Joshua Avila, Benjamin Caldwell, Elijah Caldwell, Alexander Caldwell, Robert Caldwell III, Solomon Jackson, Ellyanna Ngum, 9 precious great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 45 years, Albert Holley Sr., and her parents, Dorothy Quill and her father, Mary now rests in eternal peace. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held in Rhode Island at a later date to celebrate Mary's remarkable life. Flowers are welcomed at the funeral home, as tokens of love and remembrance.
Mary's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will forever be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family.
