Mark Wayne Swarers

Mark Wayne Swarers, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Eden, NC, on January 21, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on May 1, 1966, in Jennings, LA, Mark was the cherished son of Barbara Bradley Swarers and the late John Wayne Swarers.

Mark received his formal education in Minden, LA, where he laid the foundation for a lifelong career as a skilled carpenter and electrician. His dedication to his craft was evident in the many years he spent building and repairing, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and precision.

Outside of his professional life, Mark found joy in the simple pleasures that life had to offer. An ardent fan of the New Orleans Saints, he rarely missed a game, cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty. He also had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time fishing and camping. Mark was known for his culinary skills, especially when it came to cooking on the grill, where he delighted family and friends with his delicious creations.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, John Wayne Swarers. He is survived by his devoted mother, Barbara Bradley Swarers; his beloved daughter, Karlei Swarers; his sisters, Ann Wiseman and Cheryl Swarers; his brother, Michael Swarers and wife Audrey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

The family will announce service details soon, with interment to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville, NC. Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
