Mark Wayne Swarers

Mark Wayne Swarers, 59, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, peacefully at his home in Eden, NC. Born May 1, 1966 in Jennings, LA, he was the son of Barbara Bradley Swarers and the late John Wayne Swarers.

Mark attended school in Minden, LA and was a huge fan of both the New Orleans Saints and Louisiana State University. He spent his free time fishing and camping and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking out on the grill with his family and friends. Mark worked in construction as both a carpenter and an electrician.

In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his daughter, Karlei Swarers; sisters, Ann Wiseman and Cheryl Swarers; brother, Michael Swarers and his wife Audrey; numerous nieces and nephews and his Louisiana family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am at Nicholson Funeral and Cremation Chapel, 1528 National Highway, Thomasville, NC 27360 with a service to follow at 11:00am officiated by Pastor Jerry Chappell. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 401 W. Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360.
