Margaret June Twiford

Margaret June Twiford, born on June 25, 1942, in Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at Heritage of Cedar Rock in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was 83 years old.

Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late William Sebrell and Hester Atkinson. She was united in marriage to the late Bobby Twiford, with whom she shared many cherished years. Margaret's life was marked by her deep faith, having accepted Christ as her Savior and being united with the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Castle Hayne, North Carolina.

Her strength was quiet but unshakable, her heart open and generous to all. Even though she could be feisty at times, she was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back without a second thought, always putting others before herself. She found happiness in the little things- a quiet afternoon sitting outside, working in her yard, going to yard sales, adding to her collection of whatnots that brought her so much joy, and listening to her Elvis. But nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Throughout her life, Margaret was known for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Twiford, her sons Curt Fussell and James Fussell, her sister Joanna Carter, and her brother William Sebrell.

Margaret is survived by her loving brother Jay Sebrell, her sons Micheal Fussell, Kenneth Cavenaugh, and Lee Cavenaugh, as well as her treasured grandchildren Curtis Fussell, Jacob Fussell, Ashley Smith, Brandon Cavenaugh, Daniel Cavenaugh, and William Fussell. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren Riley Fussell, Harmony Smith, and Melody Smith.

In accordance with Margaret's wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family and friends will remember her privately, cherishing the memories of a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.
