Julie Floyd Schenk

Julie Floyd Schenk, 76, of Statesville, died Wednesday at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Bath, S.C. on July 19, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Pete David Floyd and Jessie Raymelle Floyd. Julie was a Registered Nurse for 33 years and served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include her son, James Mann of Wabasso, Fla., and brothers: Mickey, Randy and Dennis Floyd all of Statesville and Curtis Floyd of Tryon. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday September 3, 2017 at Nicholson Funeral Home. She will be interred in the National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
