Jonathan Travis Berridge

Jonathan Travis Berridge, born on February 26, 1981, in Davidson County, North Carolina, passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 45. He departed this life at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, surrounded by loved ones.

Jonathan was the cherished son of Ann Holden Berridge and Jesse Travis Berridge. He received his formal education at Trinity High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong foundation for his future endeavors. A man of faith, Jonathan accepted Christ as his Savior and was of the Baptist faith, which guided him throughout his life.

He dedicated over two decades to his career in the restaurant industry, working as a Shift Leader at Biscuitville for a year and a half, and serving as a Manager at Cook Out for 20 years. His colleagues and patrons alike appreciated his dedication, leadership, and warm personality.

Jonathan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed attending concerts, taking trips to the beach, tending to his yard, and cooking for family and friends. These activities brought him immense happiness and allowed him to share precious moments with those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Jonah Stewart. Jonathan leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Ann Berridge; father, Jesse Berridge (Ruby); sister, Sherry Morrow; nephew and niece, Kenneth Galtin and Kendra Morrow; daughters, Jennifer Berridge and Dereka Blakley (Jacob); sons, Tyler and Trenton Berridge; and his treasured grandchildren, Elijah Stewart, Isaiah Stewart, and Kennedy Blakley. He is also survived by his fiancée, Ashley Keller; grandmother, Sonja Alberty; and stepbrothers and stepsister, Rickie Skeen, Tim Skeen, and Sandra Joyce.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Jonathan's memory and the impact he had on those around him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to his heart.

Jonathan's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
