John Albert Elliott;
A good and faithful servant of 89 yrs was greeted by his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his home.
Forever loved and survived by his wife of 68 yrs., Nancy Leonard Elliott, son John R Elliott, daughter Angela Boyles & husband Brian and a bonus Grandson Rob Bergeron. Surviving brothers PW, Lee Roy (Louise), Everette (Kaye) Elliott & sisters Nancy Wargo, Margie Church and Doris (Wayne) Morrison.
He was preceded in death by parents & brothers George and Gene Elliott & sisters Johnsie Cadell, Ruth Byerly, Mary Bost & Eva Everhart.
Mr. Elliott was born August 22, 1936 in Rowan County to Samuel & Evelyn Elliott. He was a hard worker, employee and Supervisor with Thomasville Furniture 41 yrs. He loved to BBQ, cook and socialize. He spent hours talking on the phone with family & friends and he never met a stranger. His favorite saying was “Everything’s gonna be alright - come Suppertime.”
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 with visitation 4:00-5:00pm and the service to follow at 5:00pm at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor David Robinson officiating and a private burial at a later date.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Davidson County and Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel for the care and support they have provided.
