Jerry Wayne Long

May 26, 1946 — November 26, 2023

Lexington

On Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, Jerry Wayne Long of Lexington, NC, went home to be with the LORD.

Psalm 30:5 Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.  What a morning of joy he now has!

Jerry is survived by his wife, Janice Long; his three sons, Jerry long, Jr. the 1st, Jerry Long, Jr. the 2nd, and Marty long; his step-daughter, Angela; his step-sons, Michael Queen, William Rhodes, Scotty Rhodes; and his brother, Dr. Robert Long.

Jerry was a loving "PawPaw" to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He saw them as precious gifts from God and enjoyed laughing with them and hugging on them as often as he could.  Jerry was a carpenter by trade and took great pride in his work.  He was saved and loved the LORD and the Word of God with all his heart.

He was a faithful member of Testimonial Baptist Church in Thomasville for 32 years.  He played the guitar and sang praises to the LORD almost every service.  He gave many testimonies of God's grace and goodness.  He made sure that everyone knew he loved the LORD, his family, and his church.

He will be greatly missed.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00am, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Testimonial Baptist Church in Thomasville with Brother Carl Sutton officiating.
