Howard "Steve" Stephen Sharpe

Howard Stephen “Steve” Sharpe, 82, of Statesville passed away Thursday, July 18, 2018 at Aurora Assisted Living. He was born on February 24, 1936 in Iredell County to the late Baxter and Arlene Adams Sharpe.
Steve graduated from Statesville Senior High School was married to Barbara Ernestine Gentry Sharpe on October 16, 1954. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2015. They shared over 60 years of marriage before her passing. Steve was retired from J.C. Penney Distribution after 40 plus years of service. He was a giving man who helped many people over the years. He loved his family and doted on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Deborah Lambert (Roger), one son, Steven Allen Sharpe; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 20, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Dr. J.B. Parker, Jr. officiating. The family visit with friends at Nicholson Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
