Wayne Carden, of Thomasville, NC passed away peacefully June23rd, 2025. Harvey, born in Washington County, Tennessee on July 29, 1949, to Jesse James Carden and Mae Belle Ruth Wilson.

Harvey was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Seabee, serving multiple tours of duty in Vietnam. After his time in the Navy, Harvey worked several jobs, most recently as a Harvey delivery driver for O’Reilly’s. Harvey was very hard-working and dedicated, and was regularly referred to as dependable, hard-working and friendly.

In his personal life, Harvey cherished spending time with his wife, Trudy, his family and listening to gospel music. Harvey loved nature and could regularly be seen taking in its beauty whenever he could. Harvey truly loved people and never met a stranger that wouldn’t eventually become his friend, as Harvey not only loved everyone, but was loved by everyone.

Harvey is preceded in death by his father, Jesse, his mother, Mae Belle, and his son Timothy Wayne Carden.

Harvey is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Trudy, his son Jason Carden (with wife Kristan), his grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Harvey will be best remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his genuine spirit. Harvey will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him or ever met him.
