Esther Carlyle

Esther Carlyle, aged 61, passed away peacefully at her home in Trinity, North Carolina, on December 28, 2025. Born on December 13, 1964, in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Liston and Esther Alene Barnhill Mishoe.

Esther spent her formative years in Thomasville, North Carolina, where she received her formal education. From a young age, she accepted Christ as her Savior, a faith that guided her throughout her life. On April 3, 1994, she married Raymond Carlyle, Jr., in Lexington, NC, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

For twenty years, Esther worked diligently as an upholsterer and sewer at Oak Ridge Furniture until her well-deserved retirement. She took great pride in her work, demonstrating skill and dedication in all her endeavors.

Esther's true joy came from her family, her garden, and her kitchen. She was known for her culinary talents, her green thumb, and her nurturing spirit, which extended to her family and her cherished dog. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Paul Richardson, her son Jason Dale Hill, and her daughter Latasha Hill, Esther leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Carlyle, Jr.; her granddaughter, Madison Latasha Garris; her brothers, Robert Edward Mishoe and James M. Mishoe; her sister, Sarah Lynn Boyette; and her sisters-in-law, Patsy Fuller and Brenda McDowell.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Esther will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy of love and care will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
