Donna Dixon

� Mrs. Dormilee "Donna" James Dixon, 88, of Statesville, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Maple Leaf Center. Mrs. Dixon was born Nov. 30, 1922 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Payton Dallas James and Myrtle Gilleland James. She attended Statesville City Schools and on December 22, 1947, she was married to the late William Clyde Dixon, who died in 1958. She was a member of Race Street Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Mrs. Dixon is survived by one son, William Michael "Mike" Dixon of Statesville, one daughter, Denise D. Cline and husband Eddy of Statesville, one sister, Eva Nell Coates of Amsterdam, NY, one step granddaughter, Tabitha Cline-Mills (Michael) of Matthews, NC one great grandchild, Margaux Mills of Matthews, three sister-in-laws, Nancy L. Dixon, Dorothy S. Dixon and Nell James all of Statesville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Tony E. Bunton officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service and at other times will assemble at the home of Eddy and Denise Cline, 127 Delight Loop, Statesville.
