Donald Lee Rogers, 81, of Thomasville and formerly of Archdale and Asheboro, a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, passed away on April 21, 2025. A kind, giving man, Don was always happy to share with others his deep knowledge and skills in many areas. A gifted teacher and expert in his field, Don worked overseas for years establishing furniture finishing factories and training workers. His work positively impacted countless people at home and in other parts of the world. Don had a sweet, patient nature and deeply loved his family, friends and animals.
Don was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Barnett Rogers, his parents, Ralph Lee and Edith Hunt Rogers, brother, Houston Rogers, and sisters, Betty Sue Rogers Delk and Janet Rogers Allen. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Rogers Osborne (David), and Wendi Rogers Shaw (Dale), grandson, Vance Spencer Brock, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives with whom he always remained close.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date
