Doil Hill

Doil V. Hill, 77, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Mr. Hill was born December 17, 1946, in Thomasville to Paul & Pallie Hill. He spent his life in Davidson County, enjoying all the blessings the country life offered. Doil worked many years as a wood carver for Commercial Carving and was quite talented. It wasn't unusual to catch him fishing with a neighbor, loving his cats, and most of all spending time with his grandson, Garrett. It was said that Doil and Garrett were the same age, at least in heart. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Doil is survived by his wife, Martha Newman Hill, daughter, Tamara Turbyfill and grandson, Garrett Turbyfill. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Wellspring Community Church, 600 May Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
