Daisy Denise Stokes

Ms. Daisy Denise Stokes 58, of 901 Inglewood Road, Statesville, was born in Iredell County on January 19, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Ned and Nettie Stokes. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Gordon Hospice House , Statesville NC.

Prior to her death she was a graduate of South Iredell High School. She also worked at AdvancePierre Food Inc. until retirement. She was also a member of Mt. Calvary Apostolic Holiness Church. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed watching westerns.

Preceded in death by her parents Ned and Nettie Stokes, two infant siblings, her maternal grandparents Love C. Jones and Beatrice Blackwell Jones.

Daisy leaves to cherish the memory of her life, her beloved children, Grady Stokes (Genetha) of Troutman , Asia Stokes (Tre’ Mir) of the home, One Sister Viola (James) Johnson, seven grandchildren Nazaria Houston,Shamier Houston, Masiyah Mcmillian, Zaniyah Mcmillian,Antonio Stokes, Sanaa Swan, and Sovereign Houston. Three nephews Avery Stokes, Edward Stokes, James Stokes. A great niece Kaydence Stokes, A great nephew Edward Stokes JR, a great aunt Janice Jones. Great uncle Melvin Jones. A favorite cousin Lavern Jones,and an adoptive son Kylon Minor, other relatives, church family, neighbors, friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Apostolic Holiness Church, 1330 Harris St., Statesville, with Bishop Randy Minor officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, December 6, 2021 prior to the service.
