Christopher Ashley Brown

Christopher (Chris) Ashley Brown, 51, of Statesville, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his home. Born in Iredell County on August 13, 1966, he was a beloved son of Margarette McCoy Gryder who survives.
Chris enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities and tinkering with small engines as well as spending time with family. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and was employed at Freightliner.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly Morgan Brown, a son, William Brandon Brown (Tiffany), his step father, David (Buddy) Gryder, a step brother, David Wesley Gryder, stepsons, Jimmy Perri and Scottie and Billy Winowitz. Also surviving is a step granddaughter, Aaliyah Perri and nieces, Kendall and Madison. He is also survived by his Maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Cleo McCoy.
Services celebrating Christopher’s life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David McCauley officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
