Byrdell Jane Sparks was born July 14, 1940, to Fred and Bessie Breedlove in Bryson City, Swain County, NC. She attended school in Swain county through 9th grade and then continued learning at home and helping her family.

Being raised in a loving and caring Christian family led to her and her siblings working hard and appreciating what God blessed them with. Those attributes have been passed on to her present family.

She was employed with Duracell Battery and PPG in Lexington, NC for many years. In years to come, her love of flowers, pottery, crafts and all things beautiful that God showed her led to her opening a florist shop and MudLeaf Pottery where she shared her talents with many others.

In her later years, painting, woodburning and sketching kept her busy. Sharing her creations with friends and family brought her complete joy.

She is preceded in death by her 8 wonderful and loving siblings. What a joyous reunion they now have with each other, their precious parents, and most importantly God.

Her children were raised to trust God and follow what the Bible tells us to do and be. Our lives will always be fulfilled as we continue to pass those values along to our families for generations to come.

She leaves to cherish her memory 5 children, Deborah Walser (Eric - deceased) of Lexington, NC; Connie Wilson (Rodney Lewis) of Statesville; Keith Cochran (Angie) of Lexington, NC; Angie Leonard (Bobby) of Lexington, NC; and Kenneth Cochran (Sandee) of Lexington, NC. Their families blessed her with 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren who are so loved in all ways.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
