Betty Jean White Knox

Betty Jean White Knox, age 79, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at her home with her sister by her side. Born on August 24, 1943, in Mecklenburg County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Curlee White and Daisy Patterson White.
Ms. Betty loved to sing and dance. She was a woman full of inspiration. She was very spiritual who loved to go to church and praise her Lord.
In addition to her parents, Reverend Curlee and Daisy White, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Knox; sister, Rosa Lee White; brothers, David Lee White, and Paul Lee White. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Reverend Pamela Bowman; children, Tamika Knox Hooks, Mahneka White Knox James, and Christina White Knox; grandchildren, Timishea Floydette Knox, Joey Hooks, Zalic Parker, Samara James, Greyson James, Sophia Savage; and many others; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her special and lifelong friends, Atheria, Marva, and Helen.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home with Bishop Carl Randy Minor officiating.
Burial will follow the services in Oakwood Cemetery.
