Barbara Briggs Yarbrough

Barbara Briggs Yarbrough, 85, of Lexington, passed away peacefully, May 11, 2024, at her home. She was born in Davidson County on August 30, 1938, to Lonnie & Ruth Briggs. Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe Yarbrough, sons, Gary Lee Yarbrough and Curtis Aaron (Sherry) Yarbrough; daughter, Shelby Jo (Jimmy) Hines; brothers, Lonnie Briggs and David Briggs; sisters, Nancy Finney and Shirley Flowers; grandchildren, Phillip (Corrine) Yarbrough, Clay (Ashley) Yarbrough, Chloe Yarbrough and Jack Hines.

Barbara enjoyed her career as a waitress, working many years at Southern Lunch in Lexington. Her coworkers and customers became her extended family, and she enjoyed every minute of it.
